Destination Attire
Without a doubt, the least formal dress code for your wedding or event. Location, season, and overall mood factor heavily into the "right" attire for a destination event. Oftentimes, a destination wedding is meant to be a more casual (but still stylish) affair, with greater emphasis placed on unexpected choices, bold colors, and seasonal fabrics.
We recommend a suit with natural fibers such as linen, silk, or cotton for a waterfront wedding, as they are lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking–all very important factors when the weather can skew hot or humid. We also suggest an unlined jacket with a casual shoulder for an effortless, easygoing look that suits a beachside setting. Leave your socks behind and wear a comfortable pair of loafers instead; select a natural color that complements your suit, or go with black for an all-purpose choice.

When the wedding or event is located in drier areas like the mountains or desert, keep in mind that temperatures will likely vary between day and night. Consider the region’s weather beforehand, and select a suit with a weight to match. For 50-60°F, we recommend a 270g weight suit; for anything warmer, go with a suit in the 220-250g weight range. Socks with your shoes is often a better look in these destinations–but we can never fault a man who embraces a smartly styled, sockless look.
